PROGRAM PACKAGE PRICING REQUIRES PAYMENT IN FULL

This program is designed to meet the STCW and National requirements for Masters less than 500T (STCW II/3) - near coastal management as of January 1, 2017. In addition to required training included in this package, MPT recommends taking Course #148 Radar, Course 150 ARPA, Course 152 GMDSS, and Course 601 ECDIS. These additional courses will serve to remove these license restrictions.

153 : Medical First Aid Care Provider

Course Details

 

This course is designed for officers and crew who will provide immediate first aid and assist the Medical Person In Charge and is recommended for all crew members.

 

145 : Advanced Fire Fighting STCW

Course Details

 

This USCG approved (United States Coast Guard) 4 day course utilizes both classroom and live scenarios at the fire academy -focusing on meeting the minimum standard of competence in advanced firefighting. A trainee will be competent in: Control fire-fighting operations aboard ships Organize and train fire parties Ability to inspect and service fire detection and fire extinguishing systems and equipment. Able to investigate and compile reports on incidents involving fire.

 

146 : Proficiency In Survival Craft and Rescue Boats/ Lifeboatman (PSCRB)

Course Details

 

The (PSCRB) Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats course gives seafarers who are required to take charge of a survival craft or a rescue boat (other than fast rescue boats) in emergency situations the essential education and training to meet the regulatory standards for the tasks required. USCG and MCA approved. Please note that current Basic Training is a prerequisite for this course.

143 : First Aid /CPR

Course Details

 

STCW Basic Training First Aid / CPR. This 1 day course is designed to meet and exceed the requirements of basic (elementary) first aid and cardio pulmonary resuscitation. It includes both theory and practical training in the classroom

 

144 : Basic Fire Fighting(2 day class)

Course Details

 

This 2 day course is one of the four modules of STCW Basic Safety Training. This course includes both theory taught in the classroom and practical training and assessments with live fire scenarios

 

101 : Captain's License USCG - Master or Mate 100 ton

Course Details

 

The USCG does not require you to get a Six-Pack License before you get your Masters, so if you qualify, you can take the full 11 days and get your Masters License! With the Master you can go twice as far offshore, with the near coastal route, with 6 pack you can go up to 100 miles offshore and with the Master you can go up to 200 miles offshore!

 

122 : Assistance Towing

 

Course Details

 

This course is for individuals who wish to work on assistance towing vessels. Towing Endorsement is required if you will be engaged in towing a disabled vessel for payment. If you are looking for certification for tugboats or push boats, please see course #120 or #121 or speak to an MPT Career counselor to ensure that you are taking the best course for your goals and experience.

 

130 : FCC Marine Radio Operator Course and Exam MROP

Course Details

 

This 3–4 hour course is generally offered as an evening seminar which includes an explanation and review of the operating procedures and regulations pertaining to radio usage. It is valid for Single Side Band and VHF Use. Included in the course is the written examination for the FCC Element One which licenses you as a Marine Radio Operator. MPT will provide all of information to you in order to process your FCC Paperwork. The FCC will email you within approximately two weeks of your application to them after finishing the course. Please note that you MUST apply to the FCC directly in order to obtain the license. The FCC charges a nominal fee for this service.

 

107 : Master or Mate 200 ton Upgrade

 

Course Details

 

Upgrade to Master or Mate up to 200grt. MPT’s License classes are USCG Approved, NO TEST AT THE USCG. USCG Approved course will cover the written examination requirement for a candidate holding a Master or Mate license of up to 100 tons to Upgrade to a National Master or Mate License of up to 200grt.
