Preparing for MCA Medical First Aid

Course Description

Medical First Aid Provider - Course #405
 
This 4 day course is designed for officers and crew who will provide immediate first aid and assist the Medical Person In Charge. This course will satisfy the Medical First Aid Provider Training of STCW A-VI/4, 4.1-4.3 and Table 4-1 for raise in grade from the support to the operational licenses and for candidates applying for an MCA Chief Mate - Yacht. This course is recommended for all crewmembers.
 
 
PREREQUISITES FOR MEDICAL FIRST AID:
Basic First Aid #143 or equivalent (part of STCW BST) & six months of sea service.
 
This course satisfies the prerequisite for Medical Care at Sea.
