Required Materials

PASSPORT for Photo ID, Paper, Pencil, Highlighter, Workshop Clothes, and Closed Toe Shoes daily. PASSPORT for Photo ID, Paper, Pencil, Highlighter, and Scientific Calculator, Laptop Computer or other digital device for online research while in class. MPT & the MCA recommend that students receive textbooks/course notes well in advance, as most candidates will NOT be successful without significant advance study and preparation. Keep in mind that these examinations are based on your years of experience, your pre-study and engineering concepts that cannot be taught in their entirety either through this course or through the course book. We also recommend studying your manufacturer’s manuals and books from the bibliography of the textbook as well as any other books on the subject matter. Please call to make arrangements to receive your books in advance. SQA Application must also be received by MPT at least 2-3 weeks prior to examinations to prevent SQA late fees and ensure exam availability – anyone not submitting the SQA applications in time may forfeit the opportunity to take the exam during their course and may have to reschedule the exam to a later date.
