PREREQUISITES: Existing MCA Advanced Sea Survival qualification required, all candidates must also complete (or have completed) the updating training for Proficiency in Personal Survival Techniques.

Seafarers holding an existing PSCRB qualification are required to complete this updated proficiency training course every five years to maintain proficiency under the STCW 2010 Manila Amendments (STCW Section A-VI/2).

This course comprises theory and practical sessions, where candidates are required to be fit enough to undertake practical drills in handling inflatable rescue boats, and life rafts.

Please note that this is a course restricted to vessels without lifeboats and is designed to refresh and up date the MCA Advanced Sea Survival Course. Candidates who have previously taken the full MCA PSCRB Course should refer to course number MPT #191 for a fully compliant certificate without restrictions.
