Satisfies the Management of Medical Care training requirements for raise of grade to Chief Mate or Master (management level) on vessels of more than 500GT; and for Masters of vessels of less than 500GT (management level).

Course Description

This is a 4 hour course that satisfies the Management of Medical Care training requirements for raise of grade to Chief Mate or Master (management level) on vessels of more than 500GT; and for Masters of vessels of less than 500GT (management level).

Any applicant who successfully completes the Management of Medical Care (MARTPT-788) course will satisfy:

•  The required training for Management of Medical Care of 46 CFR 11.305(a)(3)(ix); 11.307(a)(3)(ix); 11 .311(a)(3)(vi); 11.313(a)(3)(vi) and 11.315(a)(3)(ii); AND

•  Specific STCW Standards of competence required by 46 CFR 11.305(a)(2) meeting tasks from the National Assessment Guidelines found in NVICs 10-14(Ch-2), 11-14(Ch-2) and 03-18: Tasks 19.1, 19.2, and 19.3.

Applicants who have successfully completed your course need not present completed "Task Control Sheets" for these assessments in application towards STCW certification.
