This 1 day course is designed to meet and exceed the requirements of basic (elementary) first aid and cardio pulmonary resuscitation. It includes both theory and practical training in the classroom. This course is taught by professional paramedics with experience in the maritime industry and in the medical field. 
 
This course is one of the four modules of STCW Basic Safety Training Program Package and satisfies STCW A-VI-1-3 and is recognized by the Royal Yachting Association as meeting their requirement for First Aid Training. This course satisfies the requirements for First Aid per 46 CFR 11.302(a)(3) and 46 CFR 12.602(a)(3); and the first aid and CPR training requirements of 46 CFR 11.201(i)(1). This certificate is valid for 5 years.
