Emergency Procedures - Course #208
This 2.5 day course covers procedures for dealing with emergency situations and the training that is necessary to maintain an effective response. This course will satisfy the Respond to Emergencies standard of competence requirements of Table A-II/1 of the STCW Code, as amended; and 46 CFR 11.309(a)(3) for certification as an Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch on vessels of 500GT or more. AND Table A-II/3 of the STCW Code, as amended 46 CFR 11.317 for certification as a Master on vessels of less than 500GT limited to near coastal waters and 46 CFR 11.321 for OICNW on vessels of less than 500GT limited to near coastal waters.
Completion of this course also meets completion of the specific assessment tasks from the National Assessment Guidelines found in the following:
NVIC 12-14 (Ch-4) and NVIC 02-18 Tasks: 5.1.A, 5.2.A and 5.3.A.
NVIC 13-14 (Ch-3) Tasks: 3.1.A, 3.2.A, 3.2.B, 3.2.C, 3.3.A, 3.4.A, 3.5.A, 3.6.A and 3.7.A.
Applicants who have successfully completed our course need not present completed Task Control Sheets for these assessments in application for STCW certification.
