211 Basic Shiphandling & Steering Control Systems
This course will satisfy the Basic Shiphandling & Steering Control Systems course satisfying the competency requirements of Table A-II/1 of the STCW, as amended 2010, and:
- The tasks listed below from NVIC 12-14(Ch-2), for Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch on Vessels of 500 GT or More and will satisfy the training requirements of 46 CFR 11.309(a)(4)(xi); AND the following assessment tasks from NVIC 12-14(Ch-1): 1.8.A, 1.8.B, 9.1.A, 9.2.A, 9.2.B, 9.3.A, 9.4, and 9.5.A; AND
- The requirements of 46 CFR 11.319(a)(3) for Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch on vessels of less than 500 GT, AND the following assessment tasks from NVIC 02-18 1.8.A, 1.8.B, 9.1.A, 9.2.A, 9.2.B, 9.3.A, 9.4,A and 9.5.A; AND
- The requirements of Table A-II/3 of the STCW Code, as amended 2010 and 46 CFR 11.3l 7(a)(2) for certification as a Master or OICNW on Vessels of Less Than 500 GT Limited to Near Coastal Waters. The following assessment tasks from NVIC 13-14(Ch-1): 1.10.A; 1.10.B; 1.10.C; 1.10.D; 5.1.A; 5.1.B; 5.1.C; and 5.3.A.
Applicants who have successfully completed our course need not present completed Task Control Sheets for these assessments in application for STCW certification.
