EPA Refrigerant Certification Exam

EPA Refrigerant Recovery & Transition Certification: EPA Certification is required to be completed to work on air conditioning and refrigeration systems or to purchase Freon. The EPA Certification Exam is available here at MPT. The exam is a one day review of material and written exam. Pre study is required.

Interesting Facts:

Under the Clean Air Act

• You cannot legally buy Freon/Refrigerant without having a certificate
• If you work on a refrigeration system without a certificate, you can be fined up to $27,500 per violation / per day
• The person who reports you gets a $10,000 reward!
