Commercial Assistance Towing Endorsement

MPT’s License Endorsement classes are USCG Approved, NO TEST AT THE USCG. This 1/2 day USCG Approved course will cover the written examination requirement for a candidate holding a USCG Master or Mate license of less than 200 gross tons or a Six-Pack OUPV to obtain a Commercial Assistance Towing Vessel Endorsement. There are no additional sea time or service requirements for a commercial assistance towing endorsement. Note that if you hold a Master or Mate license above 200grt, you do not need this endorsement, you automatically have authority on assistance towing vessels.
